What We Do

Our specialist teams have the experience and expertise to convert the property portfolios of local authorities , housing associations and care homes into premises that are fully adapted for use by less able people, in line with the latest DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) legislation.

From designing a solution based on an assessment of your property needs, through to fully-built delivery and installation, we can offer you the complete solution. Rather than relying on the services of a general product provider or non-specialist builder, we provide industry leading products installed by our own experienced technicians. You get specialist attention from start to finish.

If, of course, you need only part of the design-build process, we can help there too. For instance, if you already have a design you are happy with, using our wealth of contracting experience we can build to your specific predetermined requirements.

How we work
All our surveys of properties are personally undertaken by a senior member of the team, who will ensure that all customers receive the very highest standards of advice. We then put together a competitive and detailed quotation, including detailed drawings using state-of-the-art software.

For our larger clients, we can also produce competitive quotations based on specifications and drawings supplied to us.

We will oversee the completion of your project, making sure that it is delivered on time and on budget. We use only recommended suppliers, expert tradespeople and leading specialist manufacturers. Operating from a dedicated project centre, all of them are experts in adaptation work for the less able.

For complete peace of mind now and in the future, we also offer a full ongoing maintenance service.

Disability Kitchens and Bathrooms
The kitchen is pivotal in any home, a source of warmth, comfort and hospitality. When planning and fitting a kitchen, you’ll doubtless want to give it the friendly design and personal touches that reflect the personalities of those who’ll be cooking and eating in it. In fact, most people spend more money per square foot on their kitchen than on any other area of the house.

Yet, at the same time, the kitchen is also the area of the home where issues of accessibility and usability can be most challenging.

The bathroom is an equally fundamental area in the house, where our personal hygene, toileting and grooming requirements are met. Although much less time is spent in this room than most others in the house, any issues of accessibility are far more evident.

Using tailored materials, purposely adapted fittings and computer-aided design, we specialise in adapting kitchens and bathrooms that will enable less able people to use their own facilities with optimum ease and efficiency. We can get round any local difficulties and design a room that’s tailored to your lifestyle.

There’s a long menu of features and options that you can include in your design to get you the room that perfectly suits your tastes and your needs. For the kitchen, these include:

Height-adjustable access to hobs, sinks and worktops.
Smooth push-button and/or infra-red remote controls.
Adjustable safety cut-outs.
Non-tilt, pullout or telescopic shelving.
Low-reach switches and power points.
Pullout ironing boards, tables and other fittings.

Whereas for the bathroom:

Low-level/wheelchair access shower trays
Various shower enclosures options
Wet floor area
Battery operated, fold-away bath lifts
Padded Grab rails
Shower seating
